Harry G. Sharpe

Harry G. Sharpe, 78, of Sparta passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 2, 2010. Harry was born in Staten Island and moved to Sparta in 1971. He was a member of the Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. Harry was the former president of Sparta Kiwanis; an avid golfer Harry was a past member of the Wallkill Valley Golf Club and the Lake Mohawk Golf Club; member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta where he was an usher for 38 years and a member of Master Plumbers Association. He was owner and operator of Sharpe Plumbing and heating Contractors in Sparta since 1971. Harry is survived by his beloved wife Arline (nee Pullano) Sharpe, father of Harry G. Sharpe and his wife Judith; John Sharpe and his wife Maureen; Neal A. Sharpe and his wife Marianne; and Mary McCreedy and her husband Don. Also survived by his sister Diane Sharpe and beloved grandchildren Harison, John, Robert, Jeffrey and Matthew Sharpe and Nicole and Ryan McCreedy. Friends may call Thursday August 5th, 2010 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 10am Friday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871.
