

Jack Vreeland, a longtime Sparta resident and a native of Orange and West Orange, born August 2,1943 and passed away on Tuesday, July 12 after a long illness. Jack was the son of Robert and Anne (Byrne) Vreeland.
Jack was predeceased by his adored wife of 44 years, Lynn (Rahill) who passed away in 2009.
After graduating from Seton Hall University in 1965 with a degree in marketing, Jack worked in advertising as an art director and copywriter. He later started his own successful agency, Marketing2.
Jack leaves behind his son John and his wife Kathleen of Sparta and Mark and his wife Pamela of Stillwater and Sparta. Jack and Lynn were the proud and loving grandparents of eight grandchildren: Meghan, Ryan, Claire, Erin, and Sarah (John and Kathie’s children); Bradley, Jake, and Emily (Mark and Pam’s).
Jack’s brother, Robert, of Parsippany, passed away in 2011. Jack is survived by his sister-in-law Anne, his nieces, Lisa (of Secaucus) and Jennifer Vreeland Maney - with her husband Michael and their children (Jack’s grand-nieces) Allison and Taylor of Doylestown, PA.
Jack will be remembered at a Mass at the Church of the Good Shepherd 46 Tranquillity Rd., Green Township on Tuesday, July 19, at 11:00AM. Immediately following, he will be interred next to his wife at Good Shepherd cemetery in Tranquility.
Jack and Lynn admired the work of Franciscan Bread for the Poor/The Saint Francis Breadline, an outreach for food and support sponsored by the parish of St. Francis of Assisi in New York City. Donations to this mission in memory of Jack and Lynn would be welcome.
