Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY to Caroline nee (Bross) and Thomas Cunningham. She resided in Sparta for 49 years. She retired from Sears and Roebuck in Rockaway Town Square Mall where she worked in Human Resources for over 20 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her time with her family.
She was predeceased by George A. Prutting, her husband of 54 years. She is survived by her four sons; Thomas and his wife Karen of Wharton, NJ, George and his wife Donna of Moorestown, NJ, Michael and his wife Donna of Monroe, CT and Brian of Sparta, NJ. Six Grandsons: Kevin of Rockaway, NJ, Matthew of Brooklyn, NY, Nicholas of Brooklyn, NY, Jonathan of Monroe, CT, Joseph of Stamford, CT and Christopher of Monroe, CT.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4 from 6pm- 9pm at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Thomas of Aquin Church 53 Kennedy Ave., Ogdensburg, NJ at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Thomas of Aquin Cemetery.
