

SPARTA- Jerome “Jerry” Gregory went home to the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was 80 years old. Jerry was born in Teaneck, N.J. to George and Mary (Sullivan) Gregory, and was a life-long resident of Sparta Township. He served his country proudly with the US Army during the Korean War. Following his time in the service he attended, and graduated from Seton Hall University in 1961. Jerry retired from the Delaware River Joint Bridge Commission. During his earlier years, Jerry enjoyed long distance running, especially around Lake Mohawk. He also loved cross-country skiing, and sculling on Lake Mohawk in the summer months. Jerry is predeceased by two brothers; John and David Gregory. Surviving him are two brothers; Robert (Brenda) Gregory of Cavendish, Vt., and George Gregory of Ocala, Fl., as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited Friday, 4~7 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. An 11:00 am Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta, followed by interment in St. Thomas of Aquin Cemetery, Ogdensburg, NJ.
