Joan A. Hunt (nee Matthews), 65, of Keyport, died on March 28, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at CareOne at Holmdel. Joan was born in Red bank N.J. and was a lifelong resident of Keyport N.J. She was a member of the Keyport Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and St. John’s United Methodist Church. Joan is predeceased in life by her beloved husband Albert Hunt and her beloved parents Leon and Eleanor Matthews. She is survived by her devoted children Dana Amaral and her husband Ralph; Robert G. Havens Jr. and his wife Katie; and Tara Kuty and her husband Richard and their father Robert G. Havens. She is the beloved sister of Dewey Matthews and his wife Robyn and Josh Matthews and his wife Jill; loving grandmother of Jesse, Richard, Eleanor, and Kylie. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4, 7-9pm at Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Route 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 200 Florence Ave., Hazlet. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
