John Merrill Geary Jr, 89, passed away on January 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Swissvale, Pennsylvania and was a proud member of the US Army serving under General George S. Patton during D-Day. John worked as a reservation coordinator for KLM, BOAC and eventually Pan American Airways in New York City for 20 years before retiring in 1985. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara McClarin Geary. John is survived by his devoted children: Heather Picher and her husband Jeffery, John Merrill Geary lll, daughter-in-law Karen and loving grandchildren: Jonathan, Brett, William and Amy. The Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta is in charge of private arrangements.
