Joseph Corbo

Sparta, NJ- Joseph Corbo went home to the Lord, on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 92. Joseph was born in Arena, Italy to the late Antonio and Raffaela (Valentini) Corbo. He resided in Sparta, NJ for the last 18 years; previously living in Stamford, CT. Joseph was employed as a tailor with Bologna Furriers of Greenwich, CT. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, CT and Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta serving also as an usher. Joseph is survived by his beloved spouse of 68 years, Dina (Vinci) Corbo. His loving son; Anthony (Dawn) Corbo of Sparta, and his loving daughter; Rae (Frank) Leo of Wanaque, NJ. Five cherished grandchildren Deena Andreola (Tom), Katherine Leo, Anthony Corbo, Lauren Corbo Volpe (Nick), and Marissa Leo., and six cherished great grandchildren. A sister; Teresina Pagano, and his brother Antonio Corbo. Friends and family are invited Tuesday 2~4 & 7~9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. An 11 am funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta followed by interment in Sparta Cemetery.
