

Michael Joseph Repasch, 85, of Sparta, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2016. Mike was born in Fountain Hill, Bethlehem, PA. on January 22, 1931 to Michael and Mary Staudinger Repasch. Mike loved his family (both furry and human), the NY Giants, and his friends. He enjoyed camping on the Delaware River, vacationing with his family in Wildwood, NJ, stealing cookies when Lily wasn’t looking, dancing – badly – at weddings, hanging out with his lifelong buddies from Bethlehem, and watching and backseat coaching the Giants, and occasionally, the Jets. He retired from Western Union after over 35 years. Mike served his country in the Korean War, and was active with the VFW as well as the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Lily LeVan Repasch, and his three daughters, Dana Merville Mooney and Andy Berardinelli of Green Township, Donna Griff and her husband Stan of Byram Township, Lee Repasch of Denver, CO, and his son Michael Repasch of Sparta, NJ, and his wife Donna of Wantage, NJ. He is also survived by eight grandchildren – Jessica and Mark Merville, Michael and Matthew Mooney, Megan and Jonny Griff, and Michael and Donald Repasch, and his sister, Margaret Dales, of Oriental, NC. We will be celebrating his life Sunday, May 1st from 2~4 & 7~9 pm at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871.
