Born in Paterson, NJ April 3, 1965 and raised in Pompton Lakes, graduating from Pompton Lakes High School in 1984, he went to work for Pompton Lakes Board of Education for 38 years.
He met his wife, thru his younger brother, who was dating her older sister. They had a double wedding in February of 1994. In a nearly 30 year marriage, they had a beautiful daughter, fostered over 150+ dogs thru various rescues, volunteered at shelters, became a part of several amazing softball programs and made lots of friends along the way.
At work he became passionate about maintaining the athletic fields, going above a beyond to make the kids feel proud. He worked endless hours and sacrificed personal time for the good of others. A selfless man to a fault. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family, friends, animals, outdoors activities, watching his daughter play softball and working on his farm caring for his horses.
Peter was a devoted father, husband, brother and friend, truly one of a kind with a tremendous sense of humor everyone that knew him would come to appreciate. He had a way to make everyone around him have a good time with his contagious humor, laughter and smile. Truly one of a kind that will be missed terribly.
A memorial service will be held at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ from 12 - 2PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023. A repast will follow at Peter’s Farm.
In lieu of flowers, please provide a memorable photo and/or written note of your fondest memory of him, to be given and kept as a keepsake for his wife and daughter or a donation to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice www.karenannquinlanhospice.org in his honor. They treated Peter and his family with compassion and dignity.
