Philip Joseph Giampi, 87, of Sparta, New Jersey passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on August 31, 2018. Philip was born in Glen Cove, Long Island and was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving from 1948-1951. He retired in 1996 as a salesman for Allendale Automotive in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey after many years. Philip was a volunteer fireman for the Wading River, Long Island Volunteer Fire Department and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Teresa Reilly Giampi; he is the devoted father of Linda LeDuc and her husband James, Nancy Rodas, Philip Giampi and his wife Tracy, Kathleen Ramos and her husband Paul; brother of Dolores Martucci, Virginia Russo and the late Concetta Stamulous; loving grandfather of Michael, Marc, Matthew, Rachel, Dianna, Tristan, Jared, Philip, Kristi, Kyle, Sarah, Alex, Hannah, and Liam and great grandfather of seven. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Saturday, September 8, 2018, at St. Kateri Church, 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta, New Jersey 07871. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery with Army military honors. The Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, New Jersey 07871 is in charge of arrangements.
