Robert S. Magarino

Sparta, NJ- Robert S. Magarino went home to the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife, and family. He was 67. Robert was born in Long Branch, NJ to Samuel and Philomena (Perri) Magarino. He has resided in Sparta Township for the past 27 years living previously in Long Branch. He served his country proudly in the US Army National Guard. He was employed as an Automotive Sales Manager for 20 years at Magarino Ford and most recently he worked for Maguire Chevrolet/Cadillac in Newton. He was a Charter member of UNICO National Sparta Chapter PO Box 328 Sparta, NJ 07871. Robert enjoyed playing golf, horse racing and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. Robert is survived by his beloved spouse of 45 years Judy (Bonforte) Magarino. One son; Rob (Nicole) of Sparta, and one daughter Lauren (Tony) Dimogerodakis also of Sparta. Four grandsons: Tony, Lucas, Nathan, and Thomas. A brother, Samuel Magarino, and a sister Josephine Chevalier. Family and friends are invited Tuesday July 11, 2017 4-8 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. A Wednesday 10am Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Kateri Tekakwitha RC Church 427 Stanhope Sparta Rd Sparta. Memorial contributions are being accepted in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105-9959.
