Ruth Elizabeth Egresitz

Ruth Elizabeth Egresitz, 90, passed away on December 8, 2011 at Troy Hills Center, Parsippany, NJ. Ruth was born in Harrisburg, PA, in the Historic area known as Shipoke, and spent her entire adult life there before moving to Denville, NJ in 2003. She was an avid bowler; she was very active in Trinity Lutheran Church in S. Harrisburg and she also worked at the election polls for 50 years. Ruth is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph John Egresitz Sr. She is survived by devoted children: Sheila J. Sell and her husband Joseph of Denville, NJ; Joseph John Egresitz Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Alpharetta, GA; Ruth Ann Weirich and her husband Joseph of York Haven, PA; and Stephen C. Egresitz of Denville, NJ., grandchildren; Keith Gibbons of Oxford, NJ; Kreg Gibbons of Denville, NJ; Stephanie Egresitz of Alpharetta, GA; 4 great grandchildren: Ashley, Jessica, Erik, and Matthew Gibbons; her half sisters: Sara Jane Nye and Mary Ellen Kindness and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, December 14, from 6-8pm and Thursday from 10-11am at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, PA 17111. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday at the Neill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
