

Sparta, NJ- Steven James Iannotta, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, December 18, 2016. He was 46. Steven was born in Stanhope, NJ to Ralph and Eileen (McLaughlin) Iannotta. He was a lifelong Sussex County resident. Steven earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Educational Technology degree both from Ramapo College. He taught all science courses while employed at Butler High School, Elizabeth High School, Lenape Valley High School, Butler again, and Wallkill Valley Regional High School. He also was a coach of football, wrestling, and track and won the “Coach of the Year Award” for track while at Wallkill Valley Regional in 2016. Steven is predeceased by his mother: Eileen Iannotta. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Lynch. Two daughters, Kathleen June and Abigal Sarah Iannotta at home. Two step-sons, Jake and Nick Lynch, also at home. Two brothers, Raymond and his wife Donna of Middlesex, NJ, and Michael and his wife Mary Jo of Stanhope, NJ. His sister, Cheryl Anderson and her husband Greg of Bangor, Pa. His Father: Ralph Iannotta and his wife Joanne, his Mother in law, Mary McAuliffe of Jamestown, NY, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited Wednesday 1~3 pm and 6~8 pm for a visitation at St. Jude the Apostle Church 4 Beaver Run Rd Hamburg, NJ 07419. A 10 am funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at Wallkill Valley Regional High School 10 Grumm Rd Hamburg, NJ 07419. The family has requested memorial contributions in Steven’s name to a Scholarship fund being formed through Wallkill Valley Regional High School at a later date.
