

Ted was born in Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ and raised in Belleville. After living for many years in the Nutley Bellville area, he and his family moved to Sussex County in 1984, ultimately residing in Culver Lake. Ted was a 1970 graduate of Bellville High School.
Ted was the son of Thaddeus J. “Ted” Del Guercio, Sr. and Marie E. Delucca. He was predeceased by both of his parents.
Ted is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Del Guercio (nee Montalbano). He is also survived by his sons, Thaddeus J. “Ted” Del Guercio, III (Dawn), Robert A. Del Guercio (Jennifer), and Anthony G. Del Guercio (Leah). He was beyond proud of his four grandchildren, Christopher, Madelyn, Michael and Anthony. His son, Adam R. Del Guercio, predeceased him.
Ted is also survived by his brother, Richard Del Guercio, of Tampa, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Early in his career, Ted was the director of Damon House, Inc., an in-patient rehabilitation center with locations in Paterson and New Brunswick. Later on, he worked consistently in the bar and restaurant business, in a variety of positions. Most recently, he worked as a server at Perona Farms in Andover, NJ. In addition to his work, he took great joy in his grandchildren, the company of the four family dogs, and was an avid New York Yankee fan.
Upon departing this earthly life, Ted was assured a home in Heaven due to his faith and trust in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A memorial and service celebrating his life will be held at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Father John’s Animal Rescue in Sparta, NJ.
