Theresa "Terry" Marie Rizzuto

Theresa Marie Rizzuto, 85, passed away on November 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Terry was born in Scranton, PA and lived most of her life in Bloomingdale, New Jersey before moving to Sussex County.

She was a member of the Columbiettes and volunteered to help many charitable organizations, as well as anyone who had a need, throughout her life. Theresa had an amazing work ethic and an adventurous spirit so she wasn’t afraid to try any challenge that came her way. She was also creative in so many ways; be it sewing, painting, or crafts. Theresa had a gift for hospitality and loved to cook- but what she loved most, was her family. She was never happier than being in the middle of all their activities.

Terry is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Melchior Rizzuto. She is the devoted mother of Jean Barrett and her husband Steve, Barbara Atkinson, and Christine Grunstra and her husband Ronald. Terry is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Jennifer, Lisa, Jessica, and Lauren, Tim and Sarah, and Kelly and Coriann; and her beloved great grandchildren: Despina, Lea, George, Zoe, Riley, David, Joy, Olive, Eli, and Wyatt.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 11am-1pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. A repast will follow directly after the service.
