Born on May 16, 1932 in Montana, Kansas to Bertha and Michael Merry. They moved to Spokane in 1946 where she attended Rogers High School. She met and married Don Maggard. They were married almost 51 years at the time of his passing in 2000. She was a hard worker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning. She was especially famous for her spaghetti and meatballs. She is survived by three children, Donna (Phil), Allen (Debi), Dorsey (Bill); six grandchildren, Dave, Jay, Tara, Mike, Paul and Julie; and nine great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in her memory to Hospice of Spokane or a charity of your choice. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00am at the Pines Cemetery Mausoleum, 1402 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
