Charles Heap Forsyth

Age 100

Charles Heap Forsyth went to live with Heavenly Father on January 13, 2016. He was 100 years old. Charles was born in Magrath, Alberta, Canada on November 18, 1915 and was one of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Forsyth and is survived by his wife of 74 years, Thea Forsyth, and daughter, Sandra (Chad) Galloway. He has four grandchildren, Todd (Tonja) Peters, Debra (Joel) Hartshorn, Megan (Kaipo) Kuehu, Shelley (Darin) Fries, seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles and Thea moved to the Spokane Valley in 1948. Charles was a member of Ironworker's Local #14 union where he retired in 1981 after 31 years of dedicated hard work. After retirement, he spent most of his summer days in his yard and garden. He was a strong, caring man of integrity who was always ready to help others. We will forever miss his happy demeanor and loving smile. Charles was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14111 E 16th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA. Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 4-6 pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S Pines Rd Spokane Valley, WA.
