Darrell A. Thompson, 84, was born in West Linn, OR on May 1, 1926 and passed away in Kent, WA on October 20, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, May Thompson of Kent and preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Kathryn Thompson in 2003. He came with his family to the Spokane Valley in 1968 and worked for Inland Empire Paper Company for 20 years as an accountant. He was a member of the Masonic Multnomah Lodge No. 1, Concordia Lodge, Magnolia Chapter, O.E.S. and Calam Temple of the Shrine, Lewiston, ID. He was also a Past President of A.S.O.B., an International Organization for the Shrine Oriental Bands. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA under the auspices of the Masonic Blue Lodge. Private interment will be at the Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 911 W. 5th Avenue, Spokane, WA 99204.
