Denise was the most loving person and deeply cared for her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for the younger kids. She loved spending time watching movies with friends, spending time at her grandparent's barbequing in the summer and going to Ocean Shores. Denise was the one that never missed a birthday or holiday traditions and family gatherings.
She was a caregiver in every since of the word. After working as a caregiver, she worked for Virgin Mobil and really loved her job and was good at it. She would tell stories of the people who called in to activate their phones and trying to decipher the numbers when a southerners called in. She was so good at it because she had the patience of a saint.
She adored her brother and sister and was very proud of their accomplishment. We'll miss hearing her call out to Cody "hey brother" or reading funny texts from her sister. I miss her cradling Sofie, our minature wiener dog and saying "little girl" and watching Koda, our blue heeler trying to climb up onto her lap.
She liked to swim in the pool at Strohs. It always made her feel better. We have great memories of Denise and Breahn growing up. From the girls throwning socks into the ceiling fan and them getting locked out of the hotel room in Ocean Shores by Dena and Lesley.
They always quoted lines from movies like Wayne's World and Dumb and Dumber. Even her Dad, years later, quoted about Wayne's girlfriend Staci's gift, a gun rack which made us really laugh. Her favorite band was the Doors and you could always catch her reading a novel.
Onece we moved to the farm she really enjoyed the animals. She had a horse named Sweetie Pie, that was not that sweet. She even assisted her dad with pulling a calf with her behind the whell of a full size blazer at the age of 14. It was the first time her sister even had a school friend up to the farm after school. The calf lived and hopefully the school friend didn't go home traumatized.
In her later years she spent a lot of time with Kare, Kaelin and Mandy laughing, watching vampire movies and enjoying the time she had here with us.
Denise entered into rest on November 17, 2011. Denise is preceded in death by Grandpa Woody (Percival Woodrow Harris), Grandpa Bud (Aaron Paul Castor), Grandma Rose (Rose Marie Castor), Uncle John (John Warren), and Little Landon. Denise is survived by her parents Denis and Tammy Castor, her sister, Dena Mae, and her brother, Cody all of Spokane; along with her grandparents Gene and Diana Ives, great-grandmother Louise Harris, and numberous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends, especially longtime close family friends, Breahn and Lesley.
Denis loved everyone and was loved by all. We miss you.
