Donald passed away peacefully at home Monday morning, May 22, 2017. Don was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather as well as an avid fisherman and will be missed by many.
Don was born in Grangeville, ID but spent most of his years in Spokane, WA. He worked at Spokane Steel Foundry for over 40 years. He married L. June Piper on June 26, 1976.
Don is survived by his wife June, (40+ years) along with brother, William and sister-in-law Ruth, his sister Helen Ash, and sister-in-law Marilyn Piper. Don is also survived by his three children, Raymond, Donald Jr., and Tammy Link, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his aunt Edna at 102 years of age along with her family. Don was preceded in death by his brother Pete (Delbert) and sister, Charlotte Raleigh.
Don loved traveling and fishing with June. In his retirement, he was able to devote more time to his love of traveling and fishing. He loved participating in the fishing derbies at Lake Pend Oreille.
At the family’s request there will be no services.
