Gale was a long time Fruitland Valley farmer. He was born in Spokane the youngest son of Gordon and Peggy Hart. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane while living 4 days a week with his Uncle Don, Grampa Lynn, and Gramma Lucy Hart and 3 days at the ranch.
After high school Gale began to work on the ranch full time driving tractors, wheat trucks, and maintaining farm equipment. He was especially proud of clearing the fields of any excess rocks. We called him Rockpicker Man. He would just give a thumbs up. Gale had a gift of gab and loved to have a good laugh with friends and family. He was helpful and hardworking and an integral part of the ranch. Gale loved to drive the motorhome, bowl, and snowmobile with friends. He was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed Mariners Baseball, Gonzaga Basketball, and Seahawks Football.
In 2014, Gale moved into a LIFE, Inc home in the Spokane Valley where he continued to enjoy his sports teams, read the paper cover to cover, feed the birds, visit family, and travel throughout the community, to the Oregon Coast, Las Vegas and Seattle Mariners Baseball. The family is forever grateful to the L.I.F.E. Inc team of friends.
He is survived by his Uncle Don Hart, Sister Lynda and brother-in-law Ron Sahnow, nieces and nephews, and friends at L.I.F.E, His father passed away in 2019 and Brother Duane passed in 2020.
Gale’s last word to us was “WOW”. We don’t know if that was “WOW” for the life he’s lived or “WOW” for where he was going. We think maybe both. We are so lucky that he was in our lives!
