Gordon passed away peacefully in his home on November 23, 2011. Gordon was born in Wallace, ID and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1969. He owned and operated ABC Mobile Brake for nearly 30 years. Gordie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, showing his 1950 Chevy pick-up, and spending time with his family. Gordie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Frances Hawley and also by his sister, Karen Hawley. He is survived by his son, Joe (Elisa) Hawley; daughter, Chellie (Jason) Slovak; and grandson, Joey Slovak; the mother of Gordie’s children, Heather Hawley; and siblings, Linda (Lynn) Shupe, Shaun (Debbie) Hawley, and Tricia Hawley. A Celebration of Gordie’s Life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the VFW Post #1435, 212 S. David Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99212 from 3:00-6:00PM.
