Iva Ruth Felker

Iva Ruth Felker, age 89, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022, with husband Donald Felker, and children Russ and Lori by her side. Iva was born April 12, 1933 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was the fifth and youngest child of Allie and Ellie Gober. She graduated from Holt High School in Lansing, Michigan in 1952. After graduation, she worked for the Farm Bureau Insurance in Lansing, Michigan and after she was married and moved to Washington, she worked at the ASC Office in Davenport, Washington and then for 15 years she worked at Almira City Hall in Almira, Washington.

Iva met Donald Felker on a blind date in Michigan where he was attending college at MSU. They were married at the Lutheran Church in Farmington, Washington on April 6, 1958. On April 6, 2022 they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Iva will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, compassion, and kindness. She will be forever missed by everyone that knew her.

Iva is preceded in death by her father Allie Gober, her mother Ellie Gober; sister Florene Sayer; brothers Jim Gober, Les Gober and Grady Goeber. She is also preceded in death by their set of twins Tamera Dawn and Donald Richard Felker, who passed shortly after birth and granddaughter Corinna Felker.

She is survived by her husband Donald Felker; son Russ Felker (Debbie Cromer); daughter Lori (Paul) Friend; grandson, Michael Friend; granddaughters Tiffany (Johnathan) Davis, Shaylee Felker, Emma Cromer and great granddaughter Elizabeth “Ellie” Davis.

A funeral service of Remembrance & Celebration of Life will be held on September 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Almira Community Church, 101 S 2nd Street, Almira WA 99103. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the Almira Cemetery Fund, PO Box 215, Almira WA 99103. Write “Iva Felker Memorial” on the check.
