Jared Evan Weeks was born October 15, 1977 and “bought the farm” on April 28, 2022. Jared grew up in the small farming community of St. John, Washington, with his mother, Tamera Weeks, father, John Weeks, and three brothers, Tom, Ted, and Sean. He earned the nickname “Peckerhead” at an early age and even until his passing was still known as such. A story best told, among others, with a beer in his hand and a lure in the water. Jared was cherished by childhood friends, work friends, trucker buddies, foundry guys, and many others along his journey. Jared spent the last decade cultivating his life with his wife, Janet, who he loved fiercely. His brightest light in this world was his little girl, Jaycee, who just turned five. He had three other daughters, Sadie, Rheyse and Johnna who he absolutely cherished from afar. He spent many days talking about memories of their childhood. In addition, he inherited three sons, Gabriel, Nathaniel, and Anthony. He showed them the value of hard work and taught them not to take life too seriously. He taught them how to drive, how to hunt and fish, how to grill and most importantly how to respect others. He loved them as his own since the day he met them. Jared was baptized at Deaconess Hospital on January 26, 2022, surrounded by many nurses on Floor 11 who had cared for him over the duration of his battle with cancer. He shared an important relationship with God and kept a strong commitment to his faith until his very last breath. His passing has left a void for many, and life will never be the same without him.
