John & Arlene Frey

John Frey, of Spokane Valley, Washington passed away on July 18, 2025 followed by his wife, Arlene Frey, who passed away on July 23, 2025. John was born on September 21, 1930 and Arlene was born on January 19, 1933.

John worked as a Brick Mason for over 50 years and Arlene was a Homemaker.

In 1965, John married Arlene and the couple had four children together. John also had another child named Lori. They were deeply involved with Hope Lutheran Church.

John loved fishing and both Arlene and John were very loving and giving and enjoyed their grandchildren very much.

John and Arlene are survived by their children Gail, Mike, Diane, David and Lori, as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; as well as Elke Weinhold from Germany, an exchange student that was in the care of John and Arlene for a time.

A Celebration of Life for John & Arlene will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church; 17909 E Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99016. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John and Arlene's life.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane, as they were wonderful with their care for John and Arlene in their final days.

Professional services are being conducted by Thornhill Valley Chapel and Amy Ableman-Zimmerman as their Funeral Director.
