Julie Ann Clemons
Julie Ann Clemons was born on July 17, 1970, in Spokane, WA to Irv and Nancy Clemons. She passed peacefully on April 28, 2023 after a brief battle with some medical issues.
Julie came into the world a bundle of joy and love. She was a Down Syndrome baby, so she had challenges to face. She met those challenges and flourished. Julie attended school in the Central Valley and Mead School Districts. She graduated from Mead High School in 1991. She was very proud of being a Panther.
She was involved in Special Olympics, TRS Sundancers Square Dance Team, and, her favorite, the TRS Musical Drama Program. She also had a part in a Mead HS play. She loved performing for others and enjoyed the practicing, too. Her favorite roles were Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Cats. While at Musical Drama, Julie met Matthew and a wonderful relationship began. They were soul mates. They loved performing together and had many memorable performances, including Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Matthew brought great joy to an already wonderful life.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Irv (she was a Daddy’s Girl) and the love of her life, Matthew. She is survived by her mother, Nancy; her sister, Shelly Bernard (Bert) and her brother, Walt Clemons (Michele.) She is also survived by nieces and nephews Joleane Schaible (Dennis), Dan Clemons, Tara Clemons-Petersen (Heath), Cody Clemons, Abby Clemons; and five grand nieces and nephews and many loving family members and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life on June 24 at 11:00 am at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley. Donations can be made to Horizon Hospice.
