Kip was born at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington to Bill and Jan Krogh on December 30th, 1969. Kip joined his sisters Kim Krogh and Kelly Piger (Terry Piger) as the youngest of 3 siblings. Family time was spent at Coeur d’Alene Lake sailing with his family and friends. Kip spent his youth loving sports and building friendships that would last a lifetime. After graduating from Central Valley High School in 1988, Kip served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He was stationed in South Carolina and Florida, where he would meet the love of his life, Cindy.
Together, he and Cindy raised 3 beautiful children. He was very proud of their prodigal son Zachary (Sharissa Neddo), and the infamous Krogh twins Kaitlyn (Alex Ertl) & Kelsey (Giles Charles). They chose the community of Liberty Lake as their home where they were known for their annual Halloween display and fourth of July parties. Everyone who walked through that door was a friend and soon became part of the family. Kip opened his arms to everyone and loved with his whole heart.
Kip had many joys in life. He loved a good party, any competitive sport that you could cheer for a winner and making family memories. He was a gifted chef who enjoyed being in the kitchen working tirelessly to prepare the most incredible meals for his family and friends. His culinary brilliance was always on display every summer as he hosted countless cookouts and barbeques by the pool where anyone was welcome. If he wasn’t in the kitchen during his free time, he was playing and supporting his grandkids Gauge, Ariya, Scarlett and Axel. “Pop Pop” was the best Mini Mouse cash register keeper of all time. He spent numerous hours supporting youth hockey and making his youngest little one giggle. Kip also had a soft spot for man's best friend and had numerous four legged family members throughout the years.
Kip found his calling and had a decorated career saving lives in his community as a firefighter and paramedic with the Spokane Valley Fire Department. In 2021 Kip became an Assistant Fire Marshal before retiring in June 2024, after 27 years with the department.
Kip is survived by his parents, his sisters, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his beloved dog Buster along with the extended families of Terry and Kelly Piger, John and Nancy Hawthorne and Rob and Ann Phillips. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
