
He grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. After high school, he joined the US Navy where he diligently served for 5 years.
After his honorable discharge, Loyal enrolled in Casper College in Casper, Wyoming and later graduated with the class of ‘69 from The University of Minnesota with a degree in Pharmaceutical Studies.
He became well known in his field and was highly sought-after. He worked as a pharmacist for fifty years, primarily in the Spokane area, before retiring in 2016.
Loyal and Valerie converted to LDS in (1976) and Loyal held strong in his faith throughout his life including two missions for the church.
Life long aviator and wildlife lover. Over the years, Loyal had attracted several flocks of local birds that he would enjoy watching every morning.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father and daughter Kirsten Jordan.
He is survived by the love of his life, Valerie Diane Brock, celebrating 55 years of marriage.
A beloved father of Nicholas Brock (Spokane, WA), Alexis Brock (Seward, AK), Kirsten Jordan (Provo, Utah), Megan Burkhart (Spokane, WA), Seth Brock (Spokane, WA), Isaac Brock (Kansas City, MO) and Zachary Brock (Rathdrum, ID).
He was a devoted grandfather to Ian, Braxton, Ella, Liem, Hayden, Ryan, Carson, Lyric, Langston, Novalee and Lochlan.
As one of Loyal’s favorite artists would sing, “Take me home, country roads”.
A visitation for Loyal will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 23515 E. Boone Ave., Liberty Lake, WA 99019. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 23515 E. Boone Ave., Liberty Lake, WA 99019. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
