Marva Wynn Goede

Marva was born on September 17, 1932 in Spokane WA to parents Earl and Luella Adams. She graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1977 she accepted a position at Sacred Heart Medical Center. In 1981, Marva went to work for SFCC in the Biology lab as a Histologic Technician Intern, working for them for over 21 years. Marva married Stanley Dean Goede and the couple had six children. She was a volunteer and was deeply involved in Al-Anon, Vita and SCOPE for the majority of her life. Marva enjoyed going on a cruise with her friend Laurel. Her family and friends will always remember her as a smart, intelligent, kind, generous and independent person. Marva is survived by her three children Mark, Iva and Geraldine; grandchildren Coral, Darren, Jacob, Brandon Danial; great-grandchildren Seamus, Lucas and Isla Wynn. She is preceded in death by her husband Stan, son's Scott and Pete Goede and her daughter, Jenny Brookfield. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on May 21, 2022 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S Pines, Spokane Valley WA 99206 with a reception to follow at Stockwell's Grill and Chill located at 3319 N Argonne Rd, Millwood, WA 99212. It will be a pot luck, drinks not provided. Children are welcome. The family would like to thank Sacred Heart Medical Center for allowing us to visit her and the excellent care they gave her.
