

Our loving Lord welcomed home his son, Michael Sparlin 80, to his heavenly home. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Gladys, his daughter Karla, and one sister Evelyn. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Raenette, daughters Keila, her husband Norman, grandkids, Allison and Raymond. Raelynn her partner Kirk, grandkids Kwest his wife KaitLyn, great grandchildren, Rhelm and Rowhena. Karlee her wife Hanna, Kaden and his partner Devin.
A beloved husband and father, Mike was proud of his family. Always an active presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He loved to attend in their sporting events and various activities that they participated in. Living the life as an example of his strong Lutheran Faith. Mike lived his life as a lasting reminder of what it takes to walk with the Lord.
He attended opportunity grade school, Millwood and then off to Central Valley High school. He was proud to be a bear and graduated for Central Valley in the great class of 1962. He then went off to Yakima Valley and Eastern Washington State College. He worked in the auto part industry where he retired from Napa after 35 years, the last 18 years of his career he was the Napa store training manager.
Always and forever an avid sports fan, he loved CV high school sports, EWU football, Gonzaga basketball and the Seattle Mariners. He enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball for 32 years until he couldn’t stretch a single into a double. He took to waterskiing until the boat was sold. He then turned to classic cars, he bought a 70 challenger which he entered it in car shows for 17 years. He joined Spokane MOPARS unlimited in 2002 where he was on the board serving as the president.
Mike’s celebration service will be a Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11am on October 19, 2024.
