

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Raymond Fall on October 20th, 2023, at the age of 93. He departed this world from the comfort of his home in Spokane Valley, where he had resided for over 50 years, surrounded by the love of his family. Ray was truly blessed, as all his siblings were by his side during his final moments.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Betty Jean, who stood by his side through a lifetime of adventures and love. He is also survived by his cherished family, including his brothers and sisters: Bobby (Fran) Fall, Jim (Judy) Fall, Mariann (Howard) Gilbert, Lorraine (Norm) Monville, Jeannie Moore, and Paulette (Archie) Reed.
Ray's memory will be carried on by his daughters: Karen (Terry), Paula (Marty) Barth, Dianna (Neil) Simpson, Kara (Ron) Simon, and Christy (Mike) Simon. He was a loving grandfather to Melissa, Jason, Chris, Tom, Stephanie, Brent, and Justin and his legacy extends too many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who will always remember his warmth and kindness.
Born and raised in Butte, Montana, on July 28th, 1931, to parents Paul and Agnus Fall. He started working for Conoco Oil at the young age of 16 and enlisted in the Navy for two years. Ray's journey then took him to Spokane, where he worked as a dedicated meat cutter at Safeway for 38 years. Beyond his profession, he enjoyed a life filled with passions such as golf, fishing, and horse racing. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to share precious moments with loved ones.
Family vacations and adventures were also an annual tradition, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. He also especially enjoyed trips to the casino with Betty during their later years and enjoying a drink at Jack & Dans which was just down the street from his work after a long day.
A funeral service to celebrate Ray's life will be held on Friday, November 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, located at 1400 S. Pines. A burial service will precede this at 10:30 AM.
In his long and fulfilling life, Paul Raymond Fall touched the hearts of many, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew him.
