Petty Christine Sherman

June 28, 1967 – February 14, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Petty C. Sherman, beloved mother, sister, partner, and friend. Petty peacefully left us on February 14, 2025, at the age of 57.

Petty was born to James and Valorie Sherman on June 28, 1967, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She brought joy, warmth, and love to all who knew her. Petty was a loving and caring mother to Christina and Kenny. She was a devoted sister to Candace, Mary, and James. Petty shared a deep and lasting bond with Jason, her partner, the love of her life, and best friend, with whom she created many cherished memories. She cherished her grandkids, Jason and Eli, who brought immense joy to her life. Her beloved cat, Motorboat, was a constant companion, bringing her comfort and joy.

Petty was known for her caring and loving nature, always putting others before herself. She was a strong-willed woman who faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. Her kindness, humor, and resilience will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Petty is preceded in death by her parents, James and Valorie Sherman. She is survived by her children, Christina, Kenny, and Tyler, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A memorial service to honor Petty’s life will be held at Thornhill Valley Chapel on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and remember the incredible impact she had on those around her. Food and drinks will be provided after the service in order to take some time to reflect on the memories and legacy Petty leaves behind.
