Richard "Dick" Soderberg

Richard H. Soderberg was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Lebanon, Oregon. His parents (deceased) Mildred (Swanson) Soderberg and Robert H. Soderberg moved to Spokane, WA when Richard was 6 months of age and Richard “Dick” Soderberg became a lifelong resident. After a four month illness Richard passed away on March 28, 2013. Preceding him in death are his brother, Dale Soderberg, and his 2 sisters, Beverly Gilbert, and Marilyn Cornel. Richard is survived by his wife Donna L. Soderberg of 29 years. He was the proud father of 4 children and 4 step-children, Debbie (Bruce) Hargrave, Rick (Helen) Soderberg, John Soderberg, Russ (Martie) Soderberg, Lori (Mark) Quick, LeAnne (Terry-deceased) Eckhart, Matt (Renee’) Hepler, and Warren Hepler. He loved them and treated them equally. The same love was shown for 21 grandchildren, and the great-grandchildren that recently became 13. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. His occupation as a Glazier lasted for over 45 years and he also drove for a long-haul trucking firm and was a traffic control flagger for a short period of time. Richard enjoyed travel, camping, and sports… especially golf. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 6, 2013 at 2:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel 1400 S. Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA 99206. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Richard’s name can be made to the Shriners Hospital.
