

He had a long, courageous battle with cancer and lost the fight on 6/12/2025 at the age of 88. He was born in Burlington, Washington on 7/8/1936 to his parents, A. Jack Davis and Frances Helmer Davis.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and received a 4 year degree in Business Administration from Washington State University; and served in the U.S. Army, where he received an Honorable Discharge and a Good Conduct Medal. He lived a full life and was known to be honest, intelligent, loving, positive, considerate of others, had a great sense of humor, and didn't know a stranger. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt, and a brother.
Tom's life became richer when he met his wife, Georgia Purdy, at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where they both worked. They were married for 44 years. He received many commendations and awards while working for three Departments of the Federal Government. His most prized being the Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Department of the Navy.
He and Georgia moved to Liberty Lake, Washington, 12 years ago from Sequim, Washington, to a great neighborhood. His wife will remain there.
He is survived by his wife Georgia, his brother Jack, his two sons Scott and Steve, and two daughters Kathy and Shannon, eight grandchildren, and two great granddaughters.
Tom will be cremated and buried with a celebration of life at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Washington on Friday, September 5th at 2:00pm.
