

Ann Rymond Tuling was born in Spokane on November 26, 1937 and passed away in Spokane on November 15, 2016. Ann was an active member of the Spokane community, serving on numerous boards of directors including Spokane Opera, St. George’s School, as Chairman of Rockwood Retirement Communities, as President of the Music and Allied Arts Festival, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Spokane. Ann’s love of music stemmed from her time as an opera singer in New York City where she met her former husband, Thomas Tuling. Ann and Tom also lived in Paris and Lausanne, Switzerland before moving to Spokane in 1976. Upon returning to Spokane, Ann joined Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Homes, the business her grandfather, John Hazen, founded. Ann is survived by her son Tom Tuling, a software engineer, and family residing in Plattsburgh, NY; daughter Helene Tuling, a U.S. diplomat residing in Madrid, Spain; nieces and nephews Diane White, Molly and Phil Springer, and Erika, JR, and Richard Anderson; and great nieces and nephews Zach, Maggie, and Andy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11am at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Rockwood Residents' Foundation or Women’s Hearth.
