Barbara Jean Bartlett

Barbara was the only child of Richard and Christine Maley; born in San Jose CA.

She married Michael Sherman Bartlett on Oct 14th 1957 in Bremerton WA.

Mike and Barb had three children, Timothy, Terri, and Kevin.

As a Navy wife Barb lived in San Diego CA, Oceanside CA, and Pacific Grove CA while Mike was serving in Viet Nam. After Mike returned, they moved to Spokane in 1968 where he was stationed at the Naval Reserve Center. Barb worked for many years in finance at Montgomery Wards, Old National Bank, and Spokane Railway Credit Union where she retired in 1999.

Mike and Barb were members at Millwood Presbyterian Church where they played an active role in the ministry of the church. Barb was always happy to help with the annual rummage sale and prayed for people in need on the prayer chain.

After Mike moved into the Spokane Veterans Home, Barb moved into Orchard Crest Retirement Community where she took part in many weekly activities and joyfully sang in the choir and made many friends. She was very happy at Orchard Crest. Since July '25 Barb has been receiving nursing care at the Spokane Veterans Home where she received excellent care.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Mike (2019) and son Kevin (2020). Barbara is survived by her children, their spouses, and four grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She is in Heaven now soaring on wings of eagles, she is running and walking with Kevin and Mike.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
