

Betty June Kathryn Corbin, age 95, of Loon Lake, Washington passed away on August 12, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1929 in Spokane, Washington to Edward J. Deeble Sr. and Ruth (Olson) Deeble. In 1954, Betty June married Lowell Corbin and the couple had two children together.
Betty June was the valedictorian for her class at John Rogers in 1946. She went on to become a dedicated teacher, leading classes in English and Spanish from schools such as Milton Freewater (Oregon), John Rogers (Spokane), and Eastern Washington State College and Whitworth University. It was at her first teaching job in Othello, WA that she met Lowell Corbin, where they were both teachers. She deeply enjoyed writing, and had several works published. Betty June will be lovingly remembered for her intelligence and positive outlook.
Lowell preceded Betty June in death in 1998. Her parents and her brother Edward J. Deeble Jr. also preceded her in death. Betty June is survived by her children Lance (Stacey) Corbin and Megan (Rick) Johnson, her sister Diane Etten, two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Betty June’s final resting place will be next to Lowell at Fairmount Memorial Park.
