After a battle with cancer, Carline Clark, 80, of Spokane Valley, passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was a wife, mother, and friend and will be deeply missed. Those who knew her appreciated her strong will, independence and gracious spirit. She was born in Carson, Oregon and moved to the northwest as a child. She met and married Glen Clark, her husband of 51 years, in Everett, WA, moving to North Idaho and eventually Spokane. Carline's favorite working years were the 17 yrs as a surgical services specialist at Kootenai Medical Center, retiring in 1997. She loved her home and her pets and had a passion for sports (Go, Seahawks!), gardening, reading and geneology. Carline is survived by her son Tim Clark and wife Kim, son David Clark and husband David Long, daughter Kimberley O'Connor and husband Martin, and daughter Jenny Dykes and husband James. She had a special love for all of her grandchildren: Brandy, Chris, Dylan, Jesse, Amber and Justin. Carline is also survived by her sisters Marilyn Cooper and Shirley Way and several wonderful great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom was a longtime supporter of Hospice of Spokane and would have encouraged donations in her name. Arrangements under the direction of Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, Spokane, WA.
