Carol Sue Barrett, 77, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane after a lengthy battle with COPD. Carol was born on April 22, 1941 to Cecil and Erma Hudson in St Louis County, Missouri. Carol met and married James Barrett in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1968. They made their home in the Interior of Alaska town of Healy until moving to Elk, Washington in 1984.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister; son and daughter. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 49 years and five of seven children and step children. They are blessed with 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She and her husband have been long time members of the Country Church of Open Bible of Elk, WA where they believe in Jesus Christ whole heartedly and love their church family.
Her passions were gardening, floral arranging, crafting, sewing and quilting. She loved her family and grand-babies dearly.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Country Church of the Open Bible in Elk, WA.
