Carolyn Dianne Simmons (age 70) passed away suddenly March 10, 2014 at her home. She was born March 1, 1944 in Fox, Arkansas. She moved at a young age to Walla Walla, Washington where she grew up and graduated from high school there. Following a short time in Tri-Cities she moved to the Spokane area where she has resided since 1987. Carolyn worked many years for Senior Chore Services. She enjoyed crochet, puzzles, Gonzaga basketball, and most of all – her grandkids.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Simmons; three children, Jamie Hubert (Perry) of Westport, WA, Darren Simmons (Gina) of Pasco, WA, Nicole Eliason (Glenn) of Airway Heights, WA; seven grandchildren, Tommy Simmons, Kody Simmons, Michael Hubert, Jessica Simmons, Dylan Hubert, Mitchell Green, Garrett Eliason; two great-grandchildren, Braeden and Bridget Hubert; two sisters, Mary Deccio of Walla Walla, Cheryl Greer of Newton, KS; aunt, Jo Prock of Milton-Freewater, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Carolyn’s life.
