Darlene Margaret Wood

Darlene Wood of the Spokane Valley passed away on July 20. She was born on June 16, 1932 to Easterly Gabriel (Mac) McRae and Jessie Margret Johnson McRae in Yakima WA. She is preceded in death by her eldest son Bobby and her husband of 25 years Dewayne. Darlene and Dewayne are survived by 5 children, Joe Wood, Donna Holleran, Sharon Hilditch, Dan Wood and Mark Wood, Sister Bernadine (Bunny) Kirsten, sister in Law Helen McRae and in-laws Ted and Dee Wood, Bill and Bess Brown and Don Brooks. She has 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Darlene spent most of her adult life living in the Spokane Valley surrounded by life-long friends Carol, Diane, and Alice, family and her Canasta playing partners. Since her retirement as an HR Director in the copier industry, one of her passions was Meals-on Wheels, so in lieu of flowers, the family request you make a donation to Meals On Wheels. http://www.gscmealsonwheels.org/

There will be a Rosary at 6:00pm July 25 at Thornhill Valley Chapel with the funeral Service at St. John Vianney 504 N Walnut Rd at 2:00pm July 26.
