

Passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence in Spokane Valley.David was born in Portland Oregon on January 24, 1953 to Earl and Della Snyder. Later that year David and his parents moved from Portland to Sandpoint, Idaho. David spent his childhood in Sandpoint, leaving at age 18, after graduating from Sandpoint High School, to attend North Idaho College in CDA, ID. He later transferred to the University of Idaho and graduated from there with a degree in accounting in the spring of 1979. He began his accounting career as a staff accountant for Seidman & Seidman in Spokane, Washington.In the early 1980's David relocated to Seattle, WA. He soon began work as an accountant for BTS (Business Tax Service), specializing in tax and accounting services for small businesses. While working for BTS, David met Wendy Rock and they married in the spring of 1995. They were married and lived in Seattle for over 15 years. They separated in 2010 and later divorced. David worked for BTS, and its successor company, CompuPay, for over 25 years. He completed his career at CompuPay as the Regional Director of Marketing for payroll processing services in 2012. David stayed in the Seattle area until the summer of 2014 when he retired in Spokane to be closer to family. David was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed tennis, hiking, both water and snow skiing, and white water rafting. He also was a huge fan of roller coasters, riding them multiple times when he found one that offered an exciting ride. In his younger days, David enjoyed several years of regular sky diving activity. He made one last tandem jump in 2012 and enjoyed every second of his final sky diving experience. David was an animal lover and was especially fond of dogs. He carried dog treats in the pockets of every coat he owned and would go out of his way to make friends with any dogs in his neighborhood.David is survived by a sister, Merrilin Fulton and her husband David of Post Falls, ID; a niece, Mallory Ratcliffe and her husband Evan of CDA, ID; a nephew, Emerson Fulton and his wife Melanie of Seattle, WA; and by a grandnephew, Oliver Ratcliffe of CDA, ID. David was preceded in death by his mother, Della Snyder in 1995; and by his father, Earl Snyder in 1996.
