Born in 1918 to Anna and Otto Magnuson of Espanola, Washington. Passed away April 17, 2010 in Spokane, Washington. She was employed for many years as an LPN for the State of Washington, Good Samaritan and Riverview Convalescence Center. She joined the Washington State Grange in 1950 and was a Master of the East Spokane Grange and a Seven Degree Member of the National Grange. She enjoyed her family, friends, farming, gardening, cooking and needlework. Doris is survived by her children: Larry Holznagel (Karey) of Medical Lake, Betty Miller (Eltis) of Pataskala, OH, Phillip Holznagel (Norma) of Spokane Valley; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Olive Schmitt of Spokane, Norma Remmers of Bonnie Lake, WA, and M. Jean Lindquist of Spokane. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Puls. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment at Fairmount Memorial Park.
