Dorothy G. DuPuis

On Sept. 3, 2011 Dorothy followed her Angel into the loving arms of her Lord. Dorothy was surrounded by her loved ones. She left us with the grace and style she was so well known for. Dorothy was born in Sprague, WA. She graduated from Mead High School in 1941. Dorothy's joy came from taking care of her house and family. She was a member of Eastern Star in Millwood. Dorothy liked to garden, travel in the motor home, and dance. Her sense of style, beauty and kindness always lite up the room. Toward the end, Dorothy was bed ridden, but never lost her humor. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, R.P. Brown, her infant daughter, two sons, Terry and Bobby Brown, and the love of her life, Edward DuPuis. She is survived by her beloved sister Beatrice Riley the light of her life, daughter Diane DeShong. Grandsons, Bobby and Jackie Franklin. granddaughter, Angela and her husband Steve Wint, granddaughter Tamy and her husband Brian Markwell. Great granddaughters, Karisssa Wint and Ashley Markwell, great-grandson Griffin Markwell. There will be a visitation held on Thursday Sept. 8, 2011 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel. Services will be on Friday September 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel 1400 S. Pines Rd. Spokane Valley. Interment will follow at Pines Cemetery.
