Doyle "Marty" Martin

Doyle "Marty" Martin started his next journey to be with his dearly beloved wife Kathryn "Kathy" on February 12, 2015. He was born on March 11, 1929 to Roy and Catherine Martin in Alma, Nebraska. He was raised in Alma until the age of 16, and then joined the United States Navy for two years followed by the Air Force where he proudly served his country for 27 years, including WWII, the Korean conflict, and Vietnam. Marty loved to fish, garden, and spend time with his family and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn. He is survived by his children Michael (Andrea) Martin, Doug (Pam) Martin, Kevin (Barbara) Martin, Stacey Martin, Christie McKee, Yolanda (Tim - deceased) Krieger, Darren (Jill) McKee, Kevin (Colleen) McKee, Jayson McKee, and Steven McKee, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He will be truly missed. A special thank you to his grandson Levi Burgess and daughter Christie McKee who provided loving care the past two years enabling Dad/Grandpa to stay at home until his passing. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 2pm - 6pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 1pm, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Community Services, in memory of Doyle Martin, 210 W. Sprague Ave., Spokane, WA 99201.
