

Gloria Cvancara passed away peacefully on April 2, 2013, following complications related to Alzheimer's. She was born on June 5, 1937, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Lamar and Elizabeth Gaston. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, taught high school and married Dr. Joseph G. Cvancara in 1960. They were married for 41 years and he preceded her in death in 2002. She enjoyed traveling and was an active mother raising four children in Moscow and Genesee, Idaho, where she lived for over 40 years. She appreciated the beauty of the Genesee-Moscow community by stating "there is no greater place on earth." She loved her creator.
She is survived by her four children: Jim Cvancara, Joe Cvancara (Anne), Dave Cvancara (Chris) and Kathy LejaMeyer (Dave) and 19 grandchildren. Her brothers, Bob Gaston (Dorothy) resides in Bremerton, WA, and Dewitt in South Carolina. A celebration service of Gloria's life is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home located at 1306 N. Monroe St, Spokane. Burial will be Monday, April 29th, at 11:00a.m., at Genesee Valley Lutheran Church in Genesee. The family suggests for those wishing to make memorial contributions to send them to the Genesee Valley Lutheran Church or the Genesee Education Foundation.
