Evelyn, who was more fond of being called Ruth, raised seven children as a single mother while putting herself through nursing school at SCC. Ruth, with a heart full of love, gave over 20 years of service at Interlake School. Her love of life and family carries on with her son's, John Sandoval and Conrad Sandoval along with her daughters Linda Denning, Esther Blocker, Della Barthel, Beverly Wayne and JoAnn Sayler. Throughout her life Ruth's family grew to 49 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Ruth passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at her bedside in her home, singing to her, her favorite gospel hymns. Heaven is one soul richer having received such a gift.
