

George Patrick “Pat” Koth (Age 81) went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2011. Pat was born in Spokane, Washington on February 20, 1930, and graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1947. He married Mary Lou Templeton on December 29, 1949. Pat worked on the railroad until November 1961 when he joined the Spokane Fire Department, where he eventually became a battalion chief, retiring in March 1991.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Nov. 5, 2004); son, Gary Koth (Nov. 25, 2011); parents, William and Katherine Rose (Cunningham) Koth; sister, Mary McCabe; and brother, Arthur Koth. He is survived by a sister, Margaret Day; daughters, Debra Koth and Pam (Koth) Hodaka; and grandchildren, Nathan Cook and Katherine Cook.
Pat was a longtime member of Faith Bible Church, and previously attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Fourth Memorial Church. He enjoyed wintering in Arizona beginning in 2002, as well as hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and keeping up with the world.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St.
On Thursday, December 8, 2011 there will be a graveside service at 9:30 am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace followed at 1:00 pm by a Memorial Service at Faith Bible Church.
