

Gerald “Jerry” Rodney Spangle, age 62, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2021 after a long-term illness. Jerry was born on February 2, 1959 in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1977. After four years of working lighting and special effects for the rock band Black Rose, he attended Spokane Technical Institute for computer programming. He was employed by Spokane Produce, Tidyman’s and Jubilant HollisterStier.
Jerry is remembered by his friends and cousins as being extremely loveable and witty. His personality was infectious and genuine. He was a loyal friend who was always willing to pitch in and help others.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and lover of the land who enjoyed dirt bike riding, camping, skiing, huckleberry picking, and hunting with his friends and Dad. He loved to cook and was well known for his stuffed mushrooms.
Jerry is survived by his parents Keith and Margaret Spangle and is preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen.
The family would like to thank Karen and Evans Mose of AVA Care Center for their kind and loving care during the last five months of his life. Additional thanks to Horizon Hospice and Palliative Care for their priceless services.
A memorial service will be held at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W Wellesley Avenue, Spokane, WA, January 8th at 12:00 noon, reception following. His final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
