

Geraldine Jane Mott, born on July 24, 1928, in Spokane, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 97. She was a graduate of Holy Names Academy in Spokane. A lifelong resident of Spokane until her health needs required a move to Tumwater, Washington. Geraldine was a devoted, faithful, and generous soul who touched the lives of many with her kind-hearted and humorous nature.
Geraldine was the beloved wife of Willis Charles Mott, married 53 years until his passing in 1999. Together, they raised four children: Michael Mott (Trina) of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Mary Kay Wandrey of Arlington, Washington; and Patty Cordill (Leonard) of Spokane Valley, Washington. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Geraldine was preceded in death by son Stephen Charles Mott; husband Willis Charles Mott; and son-in-law Larry Wandrey.
A devout Christian, Geraldine and her husband were long-standing members of The First Church of the Nazarene, with Jesus being the center of her life. Her faith was unwavering and a cornerstone of her existence.
Geraldine was an amazing artist who loved sewing and painting. Her talents were evident in her work with curtains, home decor, upholstery, and furniture refinishing. Her creativity and skill were admired by all who knew her.
She will be remembered for her selflessness, thoughtfulness, and resilience. Her generous spirit, sense of humor, and fiercely determined nature left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Geraldine's memory will be cherished by her family and friends, as she leaves behind a legacy of love and faith.
A memorial service will be held at The First Church of the Nazarene in Spokane, Washington, on January 26 at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
